About Us-
In 1929 Late S. Mohan Singh Hadiabadi Founder President Of the council, who was a great philosopher founded a primary school in the huge gathering of community.
The aim & objective was to enlighten the society of the backward and rural areas by giving them education technical & general as well without any caste and creed and purely on secular basis. For this purpose be appeal to the gathered people to contribute their share in any shape may be money, labor, land etc. As the time passed with the same missionary sprit hundreds of members join their hands to achieve the target. With the result this primary school was raised to middle in 1933 & high 1935 and Higher Secondary school in 1961 and now upgraded as Senior Secondary School. Other progress is as under:

The founder president and the creator of Ramgarhia Educational Institutions, Late S. Mohan Singh Hadiabadi can be described as the solar center round whom all the Institutions-Planets revolved. Ramgarhia Educational Council (REC) Phagwara is registered body and has been managing more than a dozen schools and colleges since the year 1929 under the able guidance of Late President S.Mohan Singh Hadiabadi and all the the institute made stupendous progress under his dynamic leadership.
INTRODUCTION-
Ramgarhia Polytechnic Phagwara is a prestigious and pioneer institute in the field of Technical education in Punjab and is very first Polytechnic, of Punjab established in 1950 as Shri Vishavkarma Polytechnic and later on named as Ramgarhia Polytechnic College Phagwara.
The Polytechnic was established and is being run by the Ramgarhia Educational Council Phagwara. The Polytechnic has a magnificent building, well equipped workshops and laboratories for the training of the students, a spacious & Well Ventilated library equipped with sufficient number of text books, reference books, journals & News papers for studies. Stadium for the games & Sports & Auditorium for various cultural & Intellectual activities. The institute located on the Phagwara-Nakodar Road just at a distance of one Kilometer from Phagwara Bus Stand on the National High-way No.1 (G.T. Road) and is equidistant from the Phagwara Railway Station on the Main Line. The Polytechnic is a privately managed Punjab Government aided (95%) Polytechnic. It is managed by a Board of Management whose Chairman is Sardar Bharpur Singh Bhogal (Senior Advocate and President Bar council) , President Ramgarhia Educational Council, Phagwara, under whose able guidance and control more than a dozen Educational Institutions are promoting & imparting quality education in and around Phagwara. The Polytechnic is governed by the Punjab Government Rules and is directly under the control of Director of Technical Education and Industrial Training Punjab. The Polytechnic is marching ahead under the able guidance and control of the State Government Authorities.
